This is basically the entirety of the fic as it first occurred to me. I put it aside for several weeks to figure out where I could go from the end point to make it a little longer, a little more meaty...

But while I've tried a couple of different angles, all of them seem to detract from the punch of the current ending. I just can't seem to find a good way, or even a good reason, to extend it.

Any thoughts on the matter would be much appreciated.

Finished chapter 7 of "Wing Shift".

So, according to the 'verse of this fic, the way you are programmed inevitably takes control, and there is no way to ever truly get away from it? So the fact that Skyfire is Decepticon-build with lots of combat goodies means that if he's put in a situation fighting Autobots, he's going to kill them even if they were his friends?

Of course, it also absolves Skyfire of any real responsibility about his choices, because he hasn't really made any choices at all. Not only is he going along with his instincts, he's incapable of doing otherwise.

Lame.

This week's Lilformers would be funnier if he'd done even some cursory research on the upcoming Animated toys.

Thus he would know that Prowl is in a smaller size-class than Lugnut and Bulkhead.

Hmm. I've picked up on a pattern with jobs and my enjoyment factor. All of these are based on jobs in the service industry, since that's what I've done so far.

New jobs = enjoyment, since there is something new and different going on.
Jobs held for three months or longer = gradually increasing unenjoyment as I settle into a routine where my pay is measured in how many hours I've been on the job rather than if I have accomplished anything or not.

Given that most service jobs aren't really designed for accomplishing anything of significance, I'm not really sure if there's anything I can do about this. I just really don't enjoy work where I put in hours rather than having some specific goal to accomplish. It's dull.

I used to be able to say that I loved my Michaels job despite the fact that I had to get up at 5 in the morning to get there on time. Nowadays, though, with my change back to working the floor, I am very unenthused about the job.

Maybe it's just another aspect of my ongoing depression that I find the 'putting in hours' form of earning money to be so dreadful.

Remember how I said I didn't have any ideas for a Lugnut Mosaic in my last entry (and that I was going to bed)? Well, there was a sudden attack of plotbunny in the middle of getting ready for bed, so I ran over to boot up my laptop and capture it in text before it escaped.

So, erm, Mosaic script. I would much appreciate feedback on it.

Note to self: Was going to comment on reboot to Transformers: Mosaic project. But is late, and I have an exam tomorrow very early.

I would also really love to write a script for their upcoming Animated project with a focus on Lugnut (or Sentinel Prime, Ultra Magnus, Jazz, or Isaac Sumdac), but have no specific ideas right now. Thoughts?

Well, I've finished three of my four finals. I think I did all right with them, though I also wish I hadn't fallen down quite as much on the second half of the semester. I've had an awful hard time concentrating on studying lately, though. Just feels alien and difficult to focus on my notes and textbooks.

I've got four hours of work tomorrow, then I'm going to focus on mailing things (finally, some of these things were Christmas presents) and getting my dorm packed up. Going to try to get everything in the car that I don't need for spending my last night there.

Nothing of any significance going on over here besides finals and running Deadzone's current big plot. Oh man, the boards have seriously exploded in the hugeness of the Heralding the Fireblade battle. It's all kinds of awesome, though I'm running around like crazy to keep my characters caught up with everything.

I may be working this Sunday. I really hope not, but we'll see. I am going to talk to my boss about limiting which days I'm available to work on, as I would like to have a clearer expectation of when I'm going to work than just whenever he schedules me. Shouldn't be too hard, and it'll hopefully give me the kind of rhythm I need to get seriously back to writing things. Still haven't really worked on my springkink entries any, though I'm hoping that once finals are over, I'll feel more able to tackle some of them.

Also, I disagree with wanting to get back to the plot. The plot is dumb and hinges on writing Megatron as stupid. BLARGHDIE.

Admittedly, the other half of the plot involves writing the Autobots as having Japanese cultural mores where disrespect of the boss-man makes you TEH DEBIL.

Because I've been gnawing on this problem off-and-on for the last day or so and still have nothing like a workable answer.

How would you write a scene from Ani Blitzwing's point-of-view? More specifically, how do you write the stuff inside his head, rather than him talking with himself and other people?

I love watching Tony Stark build and test things. If they wanted to fill more of the movie with Tony Stark building and testing things under various conditions that would be awesome.

I need an Iron Man workshop. Icon. Yeah. Both of those.

- Solar kings, or other high officials with sun motifs or solar-based mythology for why they're in charge. I know about the Egyptian pharoahs (though, frankly, I could stand to learn more), but I don't know of any other cultures or time-periods to investigate for this type of idea. Are there any?

- Someone who has a broader grasp of modern television than I do: What are good or popular shows (individual episodes work, too) or movies that depict prostitution? Bonus points if it shows prostitutes interacting with police. No particular cares about accuracy or quality of the media. I'm using this to get a handle on what a character would know from mass media representations, so I'm looking more for typical depictions. I'd much appreciate it if any recommendations came from 2006 or earlier, but I can deal if they aren't.
